Great video, but can you explain to a stereo-noob how “exactly” the wires connect to the speakers? Such as, are there different methods (solder, plugs, etc.) the speaker-wire connects to the audio-components? I’m planning on doing an install and I just need to know what to get for that since I am doing a complete? re-wiring job and I have no idea how to attach wire to speakers. Thank you.

@Fagzor1337? – Tweeters reproduce high range noises
hey, whats the small speaks? doing? iam a noob so please dont be mean^^
@bonvivant55 – Start em’? young
“hey guess what?” to the 3? yr old lol!
@TheTechGuider limit what each component of the set receives which? frequency range. You wouldnt send a 40hz tone through a tweeter would you? Usually the midwoofer output of the passive crossover doesnt let the midwoofer(6.5″) play below i think 20hz or so so it plays mid frequencies up to 8000 hz or around that number. The Tweeter(usually 1″ dome) output of the passive crossover filters out anything below 4000hz so the tweeter only plays high frequencies.
@bballxp001 i thought i just should elaborate. Active means the tweeters are on a separate channel from the mids, and each channel has a different crossover setting to “filter” out what you dont want each speaker to play. The more channels needed for active often make it cost a decent amount? more but you can mix match mids and tweets to suit your needs. Passive is what is in the video.Great vid exo, i remember watching this in my noob days trying to learn, you taught me a bunch.
oooo? yea!!
@bballxp001 – You need crossovers when you have tweeters and don’t want to spend? the money to go “active” – instead of “passive”.
“”"”TWIStA”"”?
So u need crossovers if? u want tweeters?
Or else it won’t sound nearly as good right?
@TheTechGuider filter the highs? to tweeters and lows to mids
Nice, music? dork
what? was the point of the crossovers?
@eddiegreen209? – No problem, thanks for watching!
this video? was helpful thanks man
I? love this guys voice haha
Everyone says that it is better getting a pair of components rather than rear 6x9s, do decent front component speakers? still have the bass of a 6×9, without the need for a sub?
@jsnyara – Wow,? you’re right – It does sound similar.
@EXOcontralto well. same beat. 3:45 in /watch?v=4BT-GbRBdiQ&feature=channel_video_title?
